FAQ:
How Do I Put Links In My MCForum Posts?
Answer:
Very carefully. (Kidding!) There are a couple of ways to do this, actually.
- The simple way to do it is to simply type the complete URL into the message. The MCForum will automatically turn it into a link. Be sure to include the "http://" part of the URL. Example:
-
Click this URL to go to ASSTR's homepage: http://www.asstr.org/
- Once posted on the forum, that URL would be clickable:
- There is another easy way to do this that makes the links look like they do on regular websites. You just use the [url=]. . . [/url] tag, putting the whole URL without quotes right after the equals sign and the text for the link between the opening and closing tags. For example, to have the text "Bobwhite's Mind Control Erotica" be a clickable link that leads to that website, you'd enter the following text:
-
I found [url=http://www.asstr.org/~bobwhite/index.html]Bobwhite's Mind Control Erotica[/url] to be an enjoyable site with lots of dirty stories.
- Once posted on the forum, "Bobwhite's Mind Control Erotica" would be clickable and would go to that site:
- Of course, you can "nest" tags to alter the appearance of the link by using other tags, like [b]Bold[/b], [i]Italics[/i], or even color-changing tags or size-changing tags. Making them bold or italics helps to make them stand out a little more & encourages the reader to click.
